Museum educators are taking the lead in providing inclusive and practical curriculum materials for teachers. In this case study, the Women & the American Story (WAMS) initiative illustrates best practices for facing the challenges of 21st-century museum education, including approaches to inclusive content, the necessities of high-quality web-based resources, and social responsibility in development and dissemination. WAMS demonstrates how museum educators can apply object-based, culturally responsive pedagogies to meaningfully support K-12 classroom teaching and learning.
