In the streaming era, music revenues have become increasingly measurable, which has led to a surge in music rights investments. Yet the question of how to assess the value of music as an investable asset remains largely unresolved. This paper explores how to value something as priceless as music, outlining the shift from costly expert valuation of music rights to auction and participatory market models. Using Tangy Market as a case study, it examines how datadriven machine learning founded valuation and real-time trading can improve price transparency and lower transaction costs. The findings suggest that open, participatory markets may enhance price discovery and help define a fair market value for music.
