Potential Is A Drug

i relate to this so much, the days of waiting for a perfect moment for me to write because i told myself i'll write a novel before graduation and waiting and waiting before actually watching the educational youtube vids i found because it's not the right time yet. it's hard being a beginner or amateur, but realize that no one started any of this being great, everyone started knowing nothing and being a complete newbie who fails every attempt but doesn't give up in their goal to continue despite being average at it. this substack real hit it right in the head, i especially love the line: "if you wait to be impressive before you show up, you'll never show up."
