This paper aims to analyze and understand the cultural services from the Slow Design approach. It presents the results of a case study focused on a cultural heritage, the Trompeta de Salsa monument, located in Santiago de Cali, Colombia. Different descriptive-qualitative research methods are combined, as semi-structured interviews, questionnaires, historical study and netnography. Applying the principles of Slow Design and Critical Theory of Technology were investigated the needs, opportunities, "right moments" and ritual elements that involved the potential of the cultural service linked to this heritage. The research showed the possibility of transforming heritage users into actors in the interaction process, meeting their real motivations/needs and enabling the monument's adaptation to different cultural, social and economic scenarios. Visibility was given to the creative process of connecting cultural and social values with individual ones, which is important for preserving and transforming cultural services and the population's relationship with cultural heritage.
